Sodeshi Pottery

Founded over 140 years ago by Tomoichi Ono, Sodeshi Pottery was opened in Matsue, Japan due to the rich quality clay found there. Passing through generations and to Tomohiko Ono, who currently runs the pottery; he has kept the traditional pottery-making techniques alive. Each piece is carefully and laboriously shaped and painted by hand. Incorporating traditional methods and modern day aesthetics, Sodeshi Pottery’s pieces are made with thought and care.
